MY CAKES ARE TALL!

Cutting wedges from tall cakes is tough... it is difficult to cut consistent and reasonable-sized portions that way.  So you want to cut a grid!  Use a large straight knife and large plate or cutting board.  Cut slabs from the side of the cake onto your plate and then cut those slabs into rectangles. Cut smaller portions from there, or give the big rectangles!
